Towards the 24th Edition of Calici di Stelle in Montepulciano: Wine and Magic Under the Stars

On August 10, 2025, Montepulciano will host the 24th edition of Calici di Stelle, an event dedicated to celebrating wine and the unique atmosphere of the Tuscan village. In the heart of the Valdichiana Senese, amidst Renaissance architecture and historic wineries, the event renews the union of wine culture, hospitality, and widespread beauty, establishing itself as a key event for both the public and local producers.

A SENSORY EXPERIENCE IN THE HISTORIC CENTER

Calici di Stelle offers an evening experiential journey through tastings, live music, and local craftsmanship. Montepulciano’s historic center will transform into an open-air living room, where visitors can discover and enjoy the area’s finest wines. More than 40 producers of Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG and Rosso di Montepulciano DOC will showcase their most representative labels along a route that blends taste, entertainment, and the promotion of local products. The experience is completed by musical performances in various parts of the village, a market featuring artisan goods, and a magic show suitable for all ages.

The wine route includes 10 tasting points located across Piazza Grande, Sant’Agostino, and the eight Contrade of the Bravìo delle Botti.

Dinner in the Contrade
The eight Contrade of the Bravìo delle Botti—Cagnano, Collazzi, Le Coste, Gracciano, San Donato, Poggiolo, Voltaia, and Talosa—will offer traditional local dishes paired with wines from the territory.
At the official Calici di Stelle desk, guests can choose their preferred glass to accompany dinner in the Contrade.

MONTEPULCIANO IS PART OF THE TUSCAN CAPITAL OF CULTURE 2025

The 2025 edition takes place in a particularly significant context: the Valdichiana Senese has been named the Tuscan Capital of Culture 2025. This recognition celebrates the area’s commitment to promoting its historical, artistic, and cultural heritage, distinguishing itself regionally through an extensive cultural program.
Within this framework, Calici di Stelle is a unique opportunity to combine wine promotion with the culture of the landscape.

Under the August sky—between shooting stars, musical notes, and clinking glasses—Calici di Stelle in Montepulciano once again invites everyone to enjoy a high-quality, inclusive, and authentic experience.
